Accepting these terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and
Scripta, an independent iOS application designed and developed by
Vittorio Palpati, based in Italy. By creating an account, or by
downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to be
bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use Scripta. These Terms,
together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us
regarding the app and replace any earlier understanding.

Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old to create an
account and use Scripta. By signing up you confirm that you meet
this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for
everything that happens under your account. One person, one account —
you may not share, sell, or transfer it.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
Scripta includes social features — reading circles ("Jams"),
shared highlights, comments, profiles, and direct messages. Anything
you post or send is your responsibility. We operate a strict
zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and
for users who abuse others.
Strictly prohibited
You may not post, share, send, or upload any content, and you may
not behave in any way, that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, or intimidates any person;
- constitutes hate speech or attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar ground;
- is sexually explicit or pornographic, or sexualises minors in any way;
- depicts or glorifies graphic violence, self-harm, or dangerous acts;
- is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes anyone's intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- is spam, a scam, or deceptive, or impersonates another person, brand, or entity.
There is no warning quota. Users who post
objectionable content, or who abuse, harass, or endanger other users,
will have that content removed and may have their account suspended
or permanently terminated, at our discretion and without refund.
By using Scripta you also agree that there is no tolerance
for abusive users: repeated or serious violations end your
access to the community for good.

Your content, and your responsibility
You keep ownership of the highlights, notes, reviews, images, and
messages you create ("Your Content"). We do not claim to own them.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for making sure you
have the right to share it.
To run the service, you grant Scripta a worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display
Your Content for the limited purpose of operating, providing,
and improving the app — for example, showing a shared highlight to the
other members of a Jam you joined. This licence ends when you delete
the content or your account, except for copies already distributed to
other users or retained in routine backups for a short period.
You agree not to misuse the service: no reverse-engineering, no
scraping, no attempts to break security, overload our systems, or
access data that isn't yours.

Reporting, moderation & enforcement
We give every member the tools to keep the community safe, and we use
them ourselves.
Report
Any post, comment, message, or user can be reported from inside
the app, in a few taps, with a reason.
Block
You can block any user. Once blocked, they cannot contact you or
see your activity, and you won't see theirs. You can unblock at
any time.
Review
We review every valid report and act on it within 24
hours — removing content and suspending or removing the
accounts responsible where our rules are broken.
We may remove any content or suspend any account that violates these
Terms, with or without notice, and we filter for objectionable
material. Moderation decisions are made in good faith to protect the
community.

Suspension & termination
You can stop using Scripta and delete your account at any time from
Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete account. When you do, your
content is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach
these Terms — especially the zero-tolerance rules above — or if we are
required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive
(the content licence already granted, disclaimers, limitation of
liability, and governing law) continue to apply after termination.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Scripta is provided "as is" and "as available",
without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the
fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will
be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by other users is
accurate or appropriate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scripta and its
developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or
consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use
of — or inability to use — the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any
rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of
your country of residence.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, the developer's place
of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and
without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of the
country where you live. The App Store's own Terms of Use also apply to
your download and use of the app.
09.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will notify you inside the app before
they take effect. Continued use after the change constitutes
acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, you
can stop using the app and delete your account.
